No More Field Trips

 

 

Good Evening, it is late night August 23, 2012, 

 

In the midst of drought...there was a gentle rainfall early this morning...but it didn't last long... only enough moisture to settle the dust!  Currently there are 44 large fires burning in the USA.   

According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

National Climatic Data Center"s website,    During July, warm and dry weather brought ideal wildfire conditions to a large portion of the nation. The 2.01 million acres that were burned by wildfires was the 4^th most on record, while the 9,869 fires was the 5^th most in the 2000-2012 record for July.  

The drought situation could become very costly to all of us....millions of dollars in insurance claims...and there is even speculation that dust storms could cost millions of dollars in damage to the economy.  See the following websites for more information concerning these issues.

Almost every morning I make a pot of coffee or tea and then spend time in the Holy Bible, writing in my journal and in prayer.  I want to know the heart of my Father in Heaven.  I want the desires of my heart to be the desires He placed there.  I want to know HIS will.

 

I am deeply grateful that Jesus made a covenant with the Father to pay the price of  redemption from sin for all who will believe and receive this gift of everlasting life with Almighty GOD!  I am committed to be obedient to all that He places in my heart to do and to say, or die trying.  I am not my own, I was bought and paid for with a price!  I love GOD because He first loved me.  I love others because He lives in me and the scriptures say "GOD is LOVE".  I love my families, friends, neighbors and my country...and I am deeply concerned about the direction many of them are taking!  It is written, 

 

"There is a way that seems right to men, but it leads to destruction."

 

I have been thinking a lot about what Timothy had to say in 2 Timothy 3:16

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:¹⁷ That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

In the Bible, whenever people turned away from GOD and worshiped idols, one of the things GOD sent to them was drought. Whenever people turned to homosexuality...sexual deviance, filthy behavior, and every form of godlessness known to mankind, it wasn't long before they went into captivity or were completely destroyed. 

Sodom and Gomorrah is an example of what happens to a debased and sick society.  After 3000 years...it still stands as a symbol of rebellion against GOD and His WORD!

It is estimated that about 3000 babies per day have been aborted in America since Roe v. Wade.

It is now "OK" for a child to have 2 Mommies or 2 Daddy's; Our children are being taught they can choose their sexuality!!!

We used to have a Constitution that stood between the people and the power of the Presidency to control the actions of the people.  We used to have freedom of speech...and rights given to us by our CREATOR!

What makes us think that we are better than those that have gone before us? 

What makes us think that the stench of our collective national sins have not reached the nostrils of GOD?

What makes us think that we should not fear the judgments, the pleadings of GOD to return to Him? 

Where are the people of GOD who strive to stay on the crown of the road, to walk the path of righteousness?  Who love the laws of GOD which were given to us for our benefit?

In the past, GOD has allowed HIS people to wander down rabbit trails and off the beaten path.  He has always brought them back on the pathway to Heaven. He reached down and rescued them time after time; However, there comes a time when a line is drawn in the sand and the consequences of that wandering must be realized.  There is a harvest for the seeds sown.  

There comes a time, when there is... no more time...choose ye this day whom ye will serve...and the consequences are final...eternal death or life. NO MORE field trips!  Either one must serve the living GOD or the fallen angel called Lucifer. To NOT make a choice is an automatic choice for death!

I have been half-halfheartedly posting some political ads on FB.  However, I find it sad to even think about the choices we have for our President.  Neither man is a born again, Bible Believing Christian!  Religion will NOT get anyone to heaven!  The blood and cross of Jesus Christ is the only ticket to heaven!

I have come to the conclusion that we, as a country have lost our way... 

NO MORE FIELD TRIPS!

Possibly....TRUE Repentance... on our knees with fervent prayers and maybe GOD will have mercy and grace upon our nation and maybe we will not go into captivity for a little while longer.

Dear Family and Friends,

I have been listening to Rick Wiles for a couple of weeks and have passed on his radio show/web site to many of you on my email list.  I don't know a lot about him, however, there seems to be a lot of information on his shows.  Some of his guests I have personally met and know to be good Christian men.  Others, I have questions about.  No one man or ministry has all the answers...many of the people in Ministry whom I trust are not popular with the public.  No matter who one is, or what one believes, it appears there is someone against something one has said or done.  There are many truthful people in Ministry, however, there are also many who pollute GOD'S WORD.  We must be like the Bereans and search the Holy Bible to seek the truth of a matter.

NO ONE is perfect and every story has more than one side.  We should be careful of what we hear and what we speak.  We are instructed in the Bible to test the spirits.  We have the Holy Spirit abiding in us to lead us in all truth.  So, we must seek the LORD daily, asking for wisdom, discernment, knowledge and understanding.  We live in a fallen world and the deception is great, so we need the help of Almighty GOD for us to survive in these sick and wicked days!

Our country is not in a good position spiritually.  Our collective sins in the USA have exceeded the sin of Sodom and Gomorrah.  We have not repented, but have elected officials to office who had tried to eliminate GOD and His WORD from every public place and have erected monuments and elaborate buildings unto themselves and the selfish causes they promote.  Wherever GOD is pushed aside, evil abounds.  We, as a people are no different than ancient Israel.  We have turned our noses up to GOD and told HIM, We don't need you and we don't want you. Everyone does what is right in his own mind.  Without acknowledging and repenting from our sins..our country is primed for a fall.  It is time to get on our knees and repent ....perhaps GOD will have mercy on us, yet.

The war on this earth is evil vs good ....and it is for the souls of men! I think, we as Christians, have a responsibility to be informed of what is going on in the world without being in fear.  We are the Light of Christ in a dark and dying world.  We must point the way to Jesus by the way we live our lives and by the good and sound words we speak. Matthew 10:16 says

^"16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves."

 It is our personal relationship with Christ Jesus, GOD the Father and Holy Spirit that is the most important thing in our life.  It is out of our relationship with our Father and with the help of the Holy Spirit,  that we become conformed unto the image of HIS Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ.  It is this "Goodness"  this Unconditional LOVE of GOD in us, in the form of the Holy Spirit,  that makes us different from all other created beings.  GOD, who is LOVE, chose us to be HIS FAMILY forever, not just in the here and now and on this earth, but for eternity!

We have all sinned and come short of the glory, but I pray daily that ABBA FATHER draws us closer to HIM today than yesterday.  That our hearts are ready to receive the things HE has for us, that we have eyes to see the visions He gives us.  I pray we are blessed by HIS Great Mercy and Grace this day.  I pray we have favor with others of the body of Christ.  I pray we seek the LOVER of our souls fervently while there is time.  I pray the Goodness of the LORD falls on us today and overcomes us!  I pray we see the GLORY of the LORD in the land of the living.  I pray that all of our families come unto the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ!  I pray that we, who are called and chosen to be servants of the MOST HIGH GOD, live the life that GOD planned for us before the foundation of the earth.  I pray we fulfill our destinies in this world as we become more like CHRIST... for HIS GLORY!

That is my prayer for you...all of you...family, friends, neighbors, acquaintances, and all the Truth Tellers in various places.  I pray for the Peace of Jerusalem and I pray for Israel...may Israel soon know her Messiah and may the Jew and Gentile become one new man in Christ Jesus!  Amen

Spiritually Speaking....Love is....

Love is GOD.  That is what is written in the scriptures of the Holy Bible. 

 

February 14, 2012, Valentine’s Day.... the expression of human love..…the love of a young man and woman…cupid shooting his arrows at young people….cartoons for kids....one can purchase a variety of Valentine cards from the very funny to the most intimate… to send to your “special” Valentine.  It is always a “good thing” to let people know that you love them.  But, what is LOVE?

GOD is LOVE.  Without GOD, LOVE canNOT exist. 

We are in the season that is called, “Lent”.  I didn’t grow up with that concept, or with the idea of giving up something for GOD.  As I think about Lent, I have to wonder what can I “give up” for GOD that He has NOT already given up for me???  He gave His only begotten Son up for me!  He gave Jesus up.  

He punished Jesus for the sins of the world..every sin every man, woman and child has ever committed or ever will commit!   Jesus, the Innocent ONE,  laid down His life willingly because of what He saw…  in us in the future!  He took on the guilt and sin of us all… YOU and me, that we might live forever with Him!  Once and for all, Jesus paid the price of sin for all people.

GOD is LOVE.  Without GOD we canNOT live forever with Him.

It is written of Jesus, that He came to give us life and life more abundantly!  He broke the devil’s arm of power when He died on the cross, descended into Hades, preached the gospel of the Kingdom, rose from the grave, taking with Him the keys of the Kingdom and ascended into heaven.   All power and authority in heaven and on earth is HIS!  All things are possible to those who believe in Christ Jesus, our Messiah!!!!

GOD is LOVE.  In Him we have our life, our breath and our being.

It is written that Jesus said:  “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. “ 

We love Him because He first loved us.  Jesus said, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel of the Kingdom.”     

What is the gospel of the Kingdom???  

GOD is LOVE.  If you believe Jesus…….Go tell everyone the good news… You don’t have to die, you can live forever with Jesus!!!

LOVE IS GOD!!!!!!!!!!!

GARDEN TIME

The spring garden catalogs and magazines are arriving in my mail box daily.  Today it is unseasonably warm for the North East area where I live, even in Kansas the weather man is predicting 50-60 degrees today!…in JANUARY!  In my mind, this brings memories of past warm winters followed with LOTS of summer insects and weeds of unusual size!

As I was pondering on these things, it occurred to me that our hearts are like gardens….we choose what we “plant” in our hearts by the words we think and speak, the sounds we hear and what we see. We are the architect of hearts.  No wonder God said we should “guard our hearts!”.

Meditate on These Things

⁸ Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

When I lived on a farm in Kansas I had a garden.  It was bordered on the north and west sides by evergreen trees, the south end by the Butler building and on the east side by a tall evergreen hedge.  Although, it was by our driveway, it was not visible and lots of people referred to it as, “Karen’s Secret Garden”.

I inherited it from my mother-in-law.  When my in-laws moved into town in 1989, we moved into the main farm, where they had lived.  My father-in-law had built the house in 1958. My mother-in-law had not been well and so, the garden was overgrown and scraggly.  Over the years, under my care, it evolved into the lovely garden of my dreams! There were flowing shrubs,two flowering Crab Apple trees,a large Pine tree, a Red Bud tree and a Pecan Tree. In the middle was a small pond with a waterfall.  It was surrounded by stone I had carried from the rock pile and laid in a pattern to provide a small area for a tiny table, a couple of chairs and a bench. With the help of two of my sons, I put down mulch on the pathways and stepping stones throughout the garden to separate the flowers from the herbs and the vegetables. 

I loved my garden, even though it was a LOT of hard work…for two and maybe three weeks of Spring Beauty!  It was so beautiful… until the wheat harvest came in mid-June!  No matter how hard I tried to keep the weeds out, during those three-four weeks of harvest…the weeds just came up from nowhere and would overtake my garden!

One year, I thought I would conquer this weed thing.  I spent a lot of money on special garden treatments that would, “stamp out weeds”… then laid new mulch on top…and thought I had beaten the weeds!  The garden was extraordinarily lovely that year.  The day after harvest, I went out and surveyed the area…WEEDS had popped up and the garden looked just as bad as in previous years!!! 

In great dismay…. I sat down on the garden bench and cried.  How could this be??? I had worked so hard to get rid of the weeds….Through my tears, I began to ask GOD…why??? I had worked so hard to make it beautiful…why did the weeds have to grow????  I poured out my heart to HIM and then I waited…it seemed like a long time. Then, as I was looking at a towering pigweed, I heard a quiet little voice,

“That’s how I feel when I look at my people”

Instantly I saw in a vision, the LORD Jesus looking out a glass window.  I could see tears in his eyes as he surveyed the whole earth from this heavenly window. I felt so ashamed.  Here I was complaining about a garden and He was thinking about the souls and hearts of His creation! 

I thought, LORD, what can I do?  I am just a farm wife, a 4-H Leader, the mother of three sons in the middle of the nation…I don’t even have a college education…

He said, “Bloom where you are planted.  Seek me and I will teach you.”

In the Holy Bible it is written, that when we seek GOD with all our heart, we will find Him.  He is only a prayer away and He desires us so much more that we desire HIM!  HIS mercy, grace, peace, joy and perfect Love are available to us…Jesus is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to know salvation through HIM….HIS cross…His blood shed for our sins and His resurrection for our eternal life with Him…ONLY BELIEVE and you shall be saved!

When the Apostle Paul was beaten and put into prison in Philippi, an angel came and rescued him and the jailer asked Paul:

Acts 19

²⁹ Then he called for a light, ran in, and fell down trembling before Paul and Silas. ³⁰ And he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”
³¹ So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.” ³² Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house. ³³ And he took them the same hour of the night and washed their stripes. And immediately he and all his family were baptized. ³⁴ Now when he had brought them into his house, he set food before them; and he rejoiced, having believed in God with all his household.

What can we do???

Spiritually Speaking...we, as a nation appear to be at a "Crossroads".  Some TV Ministries are saying that we are in or at least approaching, what is called,  "the end times",  and God is judging America for our sins.  Surely, as a nation, we have drifted away from the moral foundations of our Founding Fathers!

I don't think that God is judging individual believers in Christ Jesus, because Christ Jesus has already been judged for our sins.  We have been bought and paid for by the Blood of Jesus shed on the cross.  However, there is something called the law of sowing and reaping.  There are consequences for things we do, as individuals and, also as nations.  

Recently, Messianic Rabbi Jonathan Cahn has been on various TV programs promoting his new book.  A very compelling book entitled,  "The Harbinger".  He writes about the parallels between things happening in America and things that happened to ancient Israel.  Israel, before its destruction as a nation,  received nine harbingers, prophetic omens of warning. The same nine  harbingers are now manifesting in America—with immediate ramifications for end-time prophecy......

Taking these things into consideration, along with the National Presidential Debates....the state of our economy and those in authority over us.....WHAT can we do?

My husband taught a Bible Study last year and became very interested in "End Times". He has studied extensively the books of Daniel, Revelation, the Prophets, chapter 24 of the Gospel of Matthew and books by leading Christian authors concerning the "Last Days".

Recently, his heart has been drawn, back to Daniel, especially chapter 9, where Daniel, while in captivity prays for his people.  As he was wondering, "What can we do to keep God's favor and protection, because we have certainly gone astray from God's precepts?"  He felt led by the Holy Spirit to write a prayer for our Nation based on the prayer of Daniel.

Prayer for the United States

O Lord, great and awesome God, who keeps His covenant and mercy with those who love Him and who abide in Him, we as a nation, the people of the United States of America, have sinned and have committed iniquity against You.  We have turned from You and have done wickedly and rebelled, even by departing from Your precepts, and by not heeding Your commands – that we love You with all our heart, soul, mind and strength, and that we love each other as we love ourselves.

O Lord, all righteousness belongs to You, but to us as a nation, shame of face for turning from Your precepts and Your commands.  We have failed to obey Your voice.

You have endowed to this nation since its inception a multitude of blessings, which include:  prosperity, freedom to speak our mind, and freedom to practice our faith.  But, we have strayed from You and forgotten that You are the source of all these blessings.  We have ignored Your protective hand upon us and have become, in our own hearts, self-reliant and self-important.  We have elected leaders who, in their hearts, do not consider Your counsel or command, and have no recognition of Your divine provision of these blessings upon us.

Yes, the United States as a nation has transgressed against You and has departed so as to not obey Your voice.  Therefore, the hedge of protection You have provided for us is in danger of being removed.  You have sent us harbingers to warn us to turn back to You and to heed Your commands, in recognition of our iniquities as a nation.  We have departed from You and have forgotten Your truth – that You are God, and that You rule in the kingdom of men and give to whom You will.

And now, O Lord God, who created our nation and has blessed us, we come to You this day and acknowledge that we as a nation have sinned against You by not obeying You, or considering You in our hearts.  We ask that You forgive our nation for its iniquities and help us to turn again toward You.  We ask that You raise up Godly men and women to rule our nation, who will not forget You and who will seek Your counsel in leading our nation to greatness once again.  We do not ask these things because of our own self-righteousness, but because of Your great love and mercy.

O Lord, hear us.  O Lord, forgive us.  O Lord, act and do not delay for Your own sake on behalf of this nation which You created to obey your voice, and to be blessed and be great, and to be a friend of Israel.  We, your people whom You have called, ask these things of You, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.  Amen.
